No art background necessary. Work with a classroom (grades K-5) once a month using art pieces from our collection of paintings, sculptures and architecture. Instructions and activities ideas provided. First time AVIC’s must attend an orientation meeting. (Please check grade level(s) you are interested in.

Assist with preparation and set up of nutritious food items for students to taste during lunch periods. Volunteers may be asked to dress up in Bee costume to encourage student participation.

PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) School Store Volunteer
Assist with operating the PBIS store. Volunteer time slots vary and are flexible.
The Willow WOW Cart

Reflections (Fine Arts Contest sponsored by Illinois PTA)
No art background necessary. Distribute contest materials to teachers. Receive entries and submit to Illinois PTA/District 19. Coordinate invitations to annual awards banquet.
Support the classroom teacher at Open House, organize class parties, sort classroom party treats, and assist with other activities with the teachers.

Screen Turn Off Week (Spring event at Willow and Churchill Schools)
Chairperson will coordinate at 2 schools. Volunteers will assist by tabulating student and classroom Screen Off cards and help with distribution of daily prizes. Volunteer 1-2 hours a day or all week if you like.
